Ridge Riders: On the Trail

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Whether your riding alone, with your family or with a group, our guided trail rides will always be an adventure to remember!

Through the Forest

Take a beautiful ride through our forested trails on top of the ridge. This ride has mellow terrain and close proximity to our base, the stable. The beautiful pine forest on our property extends into the trail network of the Lassen National Forest. Suitable for all ages. 1-3 hours

Wilderness Loop Rides

Ride out from Whispering Pines and disapear into the breathtaking wilderness on one of our fantastic loop rides. Discover a settlers orchard, high mountain meadows, a beaver pond or juniper covered hills. Moving quietly along on horses we can often glimpse the wildlife before it blends into the scenery. Trails will take us through the forests and meadows of the Cascade Mountains with unbelievable views of local valleys and lakes. We have six loops 2-4 hours each.

HorseCamping Trips:

Horse camping is a perfect trip for the vacation to relax in a beautiful setting, ride horses through secluded wilderness and enjoy other hobbies like fishing or hiking at your leisure. We set up camp at a beautiful, secluded site and ride into the wilderness area to explore. A comfortable camp, wonderful views and luxurious meals are the perks of this trip. You choose how much riding to do and how to spend your vacation! During the evening we will enjoy delicious meals and firelit stories as the noises of the nightime mingle with the rythmic sound of horses eating. 2-7 days

 

Adventure Horseback Trips:

This is your minimalist adventure. Traveling light, we make good ground and explore the wilderness for what it is. You can choose your destination and we'll travel in on horse back, or take our planned routes learning backcountry horsemanship along the way. We can search for wild mustangs, hunt for crystals, pan for gold or bird watch in a forgotten meadow, fish a deep pool or hike to the top of the steepest cliff. Whatever happens to be your fantasy adventure!
